Car Parking for our Function Hall
Although we do not have our own car park, users of Amar Hall can make use of the car parks opposite us along Overy Street less than 1 minute away. The car parks are pay and display during the day, but are free in the evenings, all of the public car parks along Overy Steet are run and managed by Dartford Borough Council. They can be contacted for further information and parking charges etc at the Dartford Borough Council web site.
If you miss these and drive past us into the one-way system don't worry because , Dartford town center has many car parks, most of them are just a few minutes walk from Amar Hall.
At the end of the night if you are planning to leaving by taxi or mini cab, please don't forget to book it well in advance. Like most towns Dartford becomes very busy with taxi/mini cabs late in the evenings, prior bookings just avoid long delays when you're tired and just want to go home.
However, their is light and the end of the tunnel. Dartford borough council are operating a taxi scheme in Dartford town center from 10pm onwards on Friday and Saturday nights. The scheme is called Grab-A-Cab, basically in order to get a cab home all you need to do is walk into the town center and you should find a cab opposite the Dartford Library -behind Iceland - the council provides stewards for security to ensure everything is running smooth and also to ensure that cabs are always available.
Since the launch of this scheme getting transport home after a night out has proven to be much easier. Bearing in mind that Amar Hall is located perfectly for public transport , why not look into traveling to us by train, bus, Fast Track or even by bike.
