Children In Need Curry Night Dartford
After last years successful turn out at the Amar Hall, when raising £1,050 for BBC Children In Need, come join us this year in helping raise even more money for the charity. The event will be hosted at the Amar Hall, Dartford on Friday 6th November 2009.
The theme will be a curry night, so come down and enjoy a 3 course Indian meal and entertainment by DJ Bizzi ‘B’. BBC Children in Need is the BBC’s UK corporate charity. It is an annual event, which involves masses of activities which are taken place across the UK all year around.
The money raised helps improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. The BBC’s first appeal for children was on a radio program for five minutes on Christmas Day in 1972, It raised £1,143,28,03. The first television appeal was in 1955 and raised a total of £625,836. Since then the BBC have been broadcasting the event every year and has raised millions of pounds.
Last year BBC Children In Need raised a staggering £36 million in total, so this year we should help raise even more money to help the children who are in need.
